KBG Design is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Interior Designer to lead alongside the principal designer on client projects and company wide initiatives - for their residential interior design projects.
Qualified candidates should have 7+ years experience with the interior design process from conception through completion. Must be an ambitious self-starter willing to take initiative within a diverse range of projects while operating in a fast-paced environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
Team lead on design projects including conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation to ensure deadlines and Client expectations are met.
Own and/or manage drafting from concept through permitting.
Knowledge of permit process and local codes preferred.
In collaboration with the Principal, lead the selection of hard finishes, FF&E, and presentation documentation for Client meetings.
Conduct Client meetings from concept, to job site visits and installation.
Work with and cultivate relationships with external consultants, vendors, reps, and fabricators.
Manage and mentor design team throughout the design process to ensure accuracy as well as professional growth from redlining to day-to-day feedback.

This position is full-time, hourly, 40 hours per week.
Compensation for this position is depending on experience (DOE).
Skills and Experience Requirement:
7-10 years of applicable work experience.
Bachelors’ or Masters Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field from an accredited school.
Strong leadership and relationship-management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Extremely detail oriented and accurate in all deliverables.
Excellent verbal, written, and visual graphics communication skills to communicate design ideas.
A real team player.
Strong knowledge of FF&E sourcing (showrooms and other design resources), specifications, and ordering process.
Expert in time-management over multiple simultaneous tasks, projects, and Clients
Proficient in AutoCAD; VectorWorks a plus but not required
Working knowledge of Studio Designer a plus
Proficient in Photoshop, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Mac OS a plus
Having a sense of humor is a must
