YOUR ROLE 

In the role of Senior Interior Designer at KBG Design Inc., you will have the opportunity to lead alongside the Principal in both design projects and firm-wide initiatives. You will be able to utilize your passion for design and your innovative problem solving skills to help take the firm to the next level. 
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Management; lead the design teams (design and architectural) throughout the life of the project, internally and externally (site visit, quality control)

  • Design Development; develop and thoroughly document design concepts; architectural planning (layout reconfigurations), space planning, architectural detailing and interior design FF&E

  • Client Communication; work closely with our clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and confidently lead the clients throughout their project

  • Technical Expertise; oversee and redline technical drawings, ensuring they meet design specifications, building codes, and our quality drafting standards

  • Collaboration; collaborate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and trade partners to ensure seamless execution

  • Lead Client meetings from concept, to job site visits, installations and photoshoots

  • Quality Control; reviewing and overseeing design presentations and documentation throughout the life of the project 

  • Team Mentoring; mentor and motivate the design team, continually improving the quality of our work and our Clients’ experience throughout the design process

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of relevant interior design experience; with majority of time spent on high-end residential projects 

  • Bachelors’ or Masters Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field from an accredited school 

  • Proficient in either AutoCAD, Revit, or VectorWorks a plus

  • Working knowledge of Studio Designer a plus 

  • Proficient in G-Suite, Mac OS 

  • Exceptional knowledge of design, FF&E sourcing (showrooms and other design resources), specifications, and ordering process

  • Strong leadership and relationship-management skills

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong time management across multiple projects and clients

  • Clear communicator and team player, skilled in verbal, written, and visual design communication
