YOUR ROLE
In the role of Intermediate Architectural Drafter/Designer, you will have the opportunity to lead alongside the Senior Architectural Designer and Principal in both design projects and firm-wide initiatives. As an Architectural Drafter/Designer at KBG Design Inc., you will be able to utilize your passion for design and your innovative problem solving skills to help take the firm to the next level.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Alongside Senior Architectural Designer and Principal, complete drawing sets from conceptual design through permitting including executing redlines

Troubleshoot and resolve all drafting issues throughout the life of the project

Project management of internal and external drafting timelines and deadlines to ensure Client expectations are met

Complete permit submittals including drawings, necessary forms and responses in coordination with Senior Architectural Designer

A go-to source for interior and architectural dimension and clearance standards

Maintain and continually improve CAD standards

Assist with calculating and reviewing vendor quotes

Cultivate relationships with external consultants, vendors, reps and fabricators
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

4 to 8 years of relevant design experience in the interior design industry; with significant time spent on high-end residential projects preferred

Bachelors’ or Masters Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field from an accredited school

Proficient in Vectorworks required; or ability to independently and quickly train-up due to expertise in other similar platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)

Strong working knowledge of current building codes and interior architectural detailing

Experience with 3D renderings in Vectorworks and/or SketchUp or similar
-
Proficient in G-Suite, Mac OS a plus
-
Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong time management across multiple projects and clients

Clear communicator and team player, skilled in verbal, written, and visual design communication
